Monthly Update - November 2018 

People go away to warmer places: some in need for a better life, others for the joy of vacation. How weird. We are running out of light and time but we are dancing the night away, with a beer in both of our hands. Grey skies. But the clouds have finally pulled away from the moon to help us see what’s truly underneath.


WHAT WE DID

 
 

Jens travelled to Jerrasch Mountain in Jordan

„Al Mawa“ is perched on a hill, 60 km behind Syrien border. Out of the zoo from Aleppo, Gaza, Iraq, lions, tigers and bears are finding peace after war.

 
 

Anna celebrated on Ibiza

For the German daily newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung Anna took two trips to the infamous party island of Ibiza. She documented the techno club Pacha, one of the worlds most successful clubs, which has undergone a change of ownership in the last six months.

 
 

Charlotte had a few beers in Copenhagen

In November Charlotte worked on two assignments for the German speaking version of Forbes Magazine. One of the assignments was to photograph Carlsberg Byen in Copenhagen where the Carlsberg beer were brewed for many years. In 2008 Carlsberg moved there entire brewery production out of the city and today Carlsberg Byen is used for beer tours for tourists, public events, housing, laboratory and a smaller production of the beer Jacobsen. The story was published in the December issue of Forbes Magazine.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Marcel went on vacation to booking.com

Booking.com, a former startup, has become the biggest Hotel-Website in the world. For Lufthansa magazine, Marcel met their CEO Gillian Tans who doesn’t stop there: she wants to create a platform for every single traveling moment.

 
 
 
 

Mario met James

In late summer, Mario got to know James (14) and his family who live in the black forest. He spent a few intense days with them, getting a glimpse into their everyday life.

At the age of 12, James found out about his Trans-identity. For the family the last year has been a challenge that has brought them closer together. The story is published as the cover story in the December issue of german magazine “Chrismon”.
